From NYC to Sintra

Um casamento lindo, elegante, delicioso. Um espaço maravilhoso e um dia inesquecível.
A Laura e o Marc fizeram o seu casamento em Portugal com todos os seus convidados de fora encantados com o recanto escolhido. E nós, tivemos o prazer de estar presentes desde os preparativos até ao fim da festa.

A beautiful wedding, elegant and fun. A wonderful place and an unforgettable day.
Laura and Marc decided to get married in Portugal with all their guests delighted with this beautiful place they chosen. And we had the pleasure of being present from the preparations until the end of the party.







Real Weddings :: Patrícia & Vasco’s Wedding Party

Segundo dia de festa, mas festa à séria com centenas de convidados e muita alegria geral.
Como já postei anteriormente, a cerimonia religiosa foi privada com a família e agora é dia de festa com os amigos. Uma festa linda, super cool com muita luz, musica, fogos de artifício e paixão.
Foi um dia desafiante mais intenso que muitos outros mas o resultado foi fantástico e adorámos cada momento. Eu e a Sofia não paramos um segundo. Mas a exigencia é o que nos motiva e oferecer um resultado lindo ainda sabe melhor.
Uma das minhas fotografias favoritas de 2009 está neste post. A fotografia do fogo de artificio e a deles nesse momento, segundos apenas. Vou explicar :) Eu estava atrás deles e a Sofia à sua frente, porque uma das características do nosso trabalho é precisamente a presença de duas objectivas que registam o mesmo momento de angulos diferentes. E eu estava com eles e tinha que fazer ora fotos do fogo que exigiam certos parametros tecnicos e umas deles com outros. E o maior problema é que eu estava com o flash off camera e como todos sabem só temos duas mãos. A Sofia não podia ajudar e tive que improvisar. Flash debaixo do braço a apontar para eles e as mãos na maquina. O resultado foi este, captei o momento, os segundos breves daqueles olhares cumplices e agradecidos com a supresa que o Vasco fez à Patricia…tudo com a luz perfeita que esperava e desejada. Por esta razão é esta uma das minhas favoritas. Pelo desafio, a completa loucura técnica e o registo do sentimento e força do momento.

Wedding day, part II. A big party after the wedding day with hundreds of guests and lots of joy.
As I posted earlier, the religious ceremony was private with their family and now is time for a party with friends. A lovely party, super cool with lots of light, music, fireworks and passion.
It was a challenge and  intense day and the result was great and we loved every moment of it. Sofia and I did not stop a second. But that kind of requirement and challenge is what motivates us always thinking in the beautiful results.
One of my favorite photos of 2009 is in this post. The fireworks photography and their moment. I’ll explain :) I was behind them and Sofia in front because we are always two photographers in each wedding. It’s precisely the presence of two lenses recording the same moment by different angles the base of our service.
I needed to captures the fireworks which required certain technical parameters and also make some pictures of them. And the biggest problem is that I was with the  flash off camera and as you all know we only have two hands, right? Sofia could not help me and so I had to improvise. Flash under my arm pointing to them and my 2 hands on the camera. This is the result. I caught the moment, the exact second they looked at each other, and with the perfect lighting. This is the reason why these photos are one of my favorites.

Olá olá!
Bem sei que os calendários costumam ser abertos no início do ano mas o meu só agora vor partilhar.
Tem sido um ano em cheio com tantas Happy Families. :) E porque tenho tido tantas solicitações para sessões e casamentos acho boa ideia dar a conhecer a minha disponibilidade para o resto do ano. Vou actualizando mediante reservas, mas para já aqui ficam as datas livres.

A todos os clientes que já tive a oportunidade de fotografar, aqueles que têm Packs “My First Year” e “Growing up” e que querem agendar novas sessões, então esta é a altura certa de assegurar a vossa data.
E todas as novas famílias e clientes que querem registar momentos únicos, aqui fica o calendário para o Verão e Outono/Inverno de 2010.

Como sempre, deixo livre um dia por semana para recém-nascidos e futuras mães, e esses não estão específicados no meu calendário. Só por motivos pessoais com urgência é que não encaixo estas sessões na minha agenda.

Hi everyone!
It’s time to share with you my available dates for 2010. Due to the amount of requests for photo sessions, events and weddings I thought it was a good idea to share with you my availability for the rest of the year. I’ll update upon reservations, but for now here are the dates available.

To all my clients who I had the opportunity to photograph, and who want to book another session, whether summer or for Christmas, this is the right time to secure your date.

And all of you who desire to capture true family moments, here’s the schedule for my Summer and Autumn / Winter 2010.

As always, I set aside one session every week for newborn/mum-to-be shoots and those are not posted on my calendar so rest assured that, barring any personal emergencies or requests at the same week, I’m free to get your newborn session in no matter how booked my calendar is.

Real Weddings :: Patrícia e Vasco :: PartI

Um casamento, 2 dias, e este foi o primeiro.
O dia estava lindo e a nossa viagem de 4 dias pelo Algarve começava agora, com muita emoção, histórias de cumplicidade e um dia inesquecível. A Patrícia estava super descontraida e a sua felicidade era contagiante num lugar com história, num Castelo da família, com uma paisagem de sonho. E os olhares apaixonados do Vasco, a emoção de toda a família também nos dá mais vontade de fotografar e contagia-nos de felicidade.

One wedding, 2 days, and this was the first day.
The day was beautiful and our 4 days trip to the Algarve began now, with plenty of excitement, stories of complicity and an unforgettable day. Patricia was super relaxed and his happiness was contagious. They got married in a place full of history, a family Castle, with a breathtaking view. And the “loving look” of Vasco, the real emotions of the whole family also gives us more willing to shoot and fills us with happiness.

Real Weddings :: What a dress! I want those shoes!

Adoro sapatos. Adoro fotografa-los. E estes foram a minha “paixão” de 2009. Uns Prada lindíssimos a condizer com o vestido lindo e original do Filipe Faísca.
A “E” estava linda, confiante e acima de tudo feliz.
Este casamento foi especial para todos. Eles nem pensavam em ter fotógrafo. Seria um casamento muito intimista e não encontravam alguém que achassem capaz de fazer um trabalho criativo e à sua medida. Até que uma amiga em comum nos apresentou e a 1 mês do casamento eles não tiveram dúvida que  eu teria que registar aqueles momentos de felicidade tão esperados.

E mais especial se tornou quando a vi. Quando vi aquela peça única de design e acabamento maravilhoso. Quando aqueles Prada “olharam para mim”. :)

Aqui ficam algumas favoritas.

I love shoes. I love photographing them. And these were my “passion” of 2009. A beautiful Filipe Faísca dress to match those beautiful Prada shoes.
“E” was beautiful, confident and above all so happy.
This wedding was truly special for everyone. They were not even thinking about having a photographer. It would be a very intimate wedding and there wasn’t anyone who they thought were capable of doing creative work. Until a mutual friend introduced us and 1 month later they had no doubt I would have to capture those moments of happiness.

And it became more special when I saw her. When I saw this unique piece of wonderful design. When those Prada “look at me.” :)

Muito tenho para dizer sobre este casamento! Lindo, cheio de amor, muito divertido, único, detalhes inesquecíveis e muita paixão envolvida.
Para mim foi muito especial e tenho todo o prazer agora de o partilhar convosco.

Foi um casamento de Inverno, num dia que brilhou, onde o frio não tomou conta da emoção. Tudo foi pensado, desde os detalhes da decoração, a iluminação, as flores, a música e o design. Os menus e mesas fui eu que tive o prazer de desenvolver e oferecer. Adorei cada momento.

As minhas fotógrafas assistentes estão de parabéns pelo excelente trabalho feito, empenho e boa disposição! Fico muito feliz por vê-las crescer comigo!

I’ve a lot to say about this Real Wedding. Beautiful, loving, fun, unique, unforgettable details and a lot of passion involved.
For me it was a very special one and I am happy now to share it with you.
It was a winter wedding, a day that shone, and not even the chilly breeze took over the emotions. Everything was thought in detail, the  decor, lighting, flowers, music and graphic design. I had the pleasure to develop and offer the menus and table sets.

I loved every moment.

I congratulate my photographers assistants  for the excellent job done, commitment and willingness! I am very happy to see them “grow” along with me!

Weddings for life

Tenho andado meio afastada do blog e tenho escrito pouco. Outra vez aquela falta de tempo, o trabalho, a finalização do site, as encomendas de principio de ano, os albuns de casamentos, as sessões e por fim alguns momentos para mim. Poucos! :)
Vou começar a escrever sobre os casamento. Dar a conhecer aqui também esse meu olhar sobre uma história nova, uma família única que começa num dia tão especial.

Espero que gostem e que as minhas imagens consigam descrever o amor que as envolveu!

I’ve been disappeared…it is true. I don’t write as often as I would like.. Once more, the lack of time for everything. My work, the final touch in the new website , photo books and photo orders, wedding albums, new couples and finally some moments to  myself and my family. They need me! :) I’ll soon start writing about weddings and other events. I will share with you my approach to a new family, new story that always begin in a unique day.
